Below full details about when Mbenge won the belt
Golden Gloves of Rodney Berman staged a nice boxing night last March 3rd at the Emperors Palace when local Thulani Mbenge won the vacant WBC International 147 Lbs title by UD12  (118-110 twice, 119-109)  against Mexico’s Diego Brayan Cruz.

Kempton Park, South Africa  –  Thulani Mbenge (13-0) W PTS 12 Diego Cruz (18-6-2)  –  Mbenge wins the vacant WBC International title

Things turned out to be easier for Cruz when Mbenge abandoned his body work and went upstairs.  The Mexican could then show a solid chin.   Mbenge was a clear winner,  but he can certainly do much better.    Cruz had previously scored good wins over Ivan Cano and Jose Lopez and fought a draw with the 35-1-1 Roberto Ortiz in July.
