In what turned out to be a short but very spectacular WBC International bridgerweight vacant title bout, Lukasz Rozanski (14-0, 13 KOs) scored a first round knockout over Artur Szpilka on Sunday night in Rzeszow, Poland. Szpilka dropped Rozanski in the first ten seconds, but the latter came back like a lion to floor his contender three times to end the session moments later. With his first round knockout win, Rozanski won the vacant WBC International Bridgerweight title. This was the first WBC International championship in the new WBC weight class.

The date of this vacant Championship was moved forward several times due to the pandemic. The Polish promoter were eventually be able to confirm this vacant championship for May 30th. This will be the first WBC International championship in the new weight class
